Description: Wonderful example of Acoma art and pottery. Acoma pueblo is between Albuquerque and Gallup on the 40 fwy. This piece is signed "by Acoma Indian Woman 1980". I would use as decor or to hang as do not know what the glaze/surface is. Figures are what appears to be a thunderbird, with the sun symbol under it. There are also leaves, and what appear to be rain clouds on the thunderbird's wings. I would guess this could together symbolized success with crops which is a recurring theme in native american art/pottery. Triangle shaped, 9 1/8" high 7 5/8" wide
