Description: Vintage, 1984, made in Japan, TAMA Swingstar 16” x 16” floor tom. This drum is solid and sounds great! Zola coated interior is in excellent condition. The hardware shows some scratches and dings from the many years of use, but it is original including the TAMA wing bolts. The wrap is pretty scratched up and a 1” strip is missing along the seam. My assumption would be someone was in a bind and desperately needed to make some snare tabs. The exposed wood of the outer shell was painted black along this strip so that it’s not that noticeable. (See pic). The resonant head is good, but the Remo pinstripe batter head has seen better days. This drum would be a great candidate for a re wrap. Or play it just like it is!
