Description: Presented here is a Vintage Swiss Elgin Electric Women’s Gold Early Hybrid Quartz Dress Watch This elegant dress watch from Elgin features a rectangular gold plated case that houses an elegant metallic gold dial with applied baton hour markers. The dial is signed Logo – ELGIN –ELECTRIC - SWISS. The seconds hand moves in a sweep motion although not as smooth as a pure mechanical watch. It is fitted with its original integrated gold tone bracelet that will fit wrist sizes upto 6.5” and has removable links for sizing. It comes with a safety chain for added protection. This timepiece is powered by an early Elgin signed Swiss hybrid quartz movement that has been fitted with a new battery. The watch, based on the design and movement, is an early quartz timepiece from the 70s – 80s. Considering its age, it is in excellent pre-owned condition with signs of careful & selective use. The case has minimal superficial scratches but no loss to the plating and is shiny. The integrated link bracelet is in excellent shape with barely any slack but has very light loss of finish on the outer links/clasp consistent with wear. Safety chain works as intended. It is not very noticeable in person. Movement has been fitted with a new battery and is working well. I have included several high resolution pictures of the watch, bracelet and movement. Please review them carefully as they are part of the description. Please note that all pictures are taken on the macro setting to show detail. This makes even the slightest imperfections, shadows during photography, and specks of dust appear prominent even though they are often not visible without magnification.
