The plate features a detailed, portrait image of a gentleman with a full beard & mustache, wearing a suit, vest, white shirt and ribbon tie. Immediately below the image in the center is marked: Galaxy Pub. Co. Philadelphia. And in the center below this is the "signature" (this is someone who did NOT take the signature part seriously, I can only make out his first initial "S"). The back of the plate is marked: F. WHITELEY N.Y. The plate is in good condition, rust oxidization as seen in my photos. The piece measures approx. 10" BY 7". When item is packed SECURELY for shipping, it weighs 2 pounds 12 ounces.
