Vintage Sony Camera Control Unit DXC-1600 ~ 70's Equipment ~ Untested

Description: Listed here is a Sony Camera Control Unit DXC-1600. Came from a university setting. It does look like it could be mid 70's camera equipment. I do not have the proper hardware on hand to test this unit to be able to tell you if it is in working condition. From what I've seen on the internet, it looks like the compartment on the bottom can be used to hold a battery pack on the inside. No battery pack appears to be present inside. Therefore, I would guess that this unit is missing at least that component. I do not have the original camera that went with this component of the whole system.
