Description: This beautiful Solidex jar has the original rubber seal intact. Though if you plan to use this jar for canning or storing food, you will need to replace the ring as it is very old and will not seal properly. If you choose to remove the ring, it will leave behind orange rubber which must be scrubbed off. I am leaving the ring on as it will not effect the jar being used for decorative purposes. There is some minor rust on the metal. The inside of the lid has some chipping, pictured. There is 1 chip on the jar, which is at the top of the mold line, pictured. Neither of these are visible when the jar is closed. There is an inclusion on the top of the lid, pictured, this is from a piece of debris in the mold while the glass was being cast. The jar is 5 inches tall and 4 inches in diameter.
