Description: This beautiful little needlework features an abstract multicolor sunset over what looks like a distant mountain range. The sunset is reflected in a body of water - lake / river / ocean. The silhouette of a tree is in the foreground. This appears to be an unbranded piece. I can't find any information on it, or even a close match. I don't know the exact age, but estimate the 1990s based on the color palette and frame style. Colors include kelly green, cobalt blue, cornflower blue, baby blue, sage green, avocado green, deep purple, lavender, golden yellow, shell pink, and ivory. The framed picture measures about 7 7/8 inches in height and is approximately 7 7/8 inches wide, a perfect small square. The frame is interesting and adds a lot to the piece. This was a custom frame job with a solid wood rounded edge frame that is a lacquered lavender. The wood frame is surrounded by an ivory square-edged metal frame. The picture is about 1 1/4 inches thick and this gives the image a lot of dimension. The piece is in very good vintage condition. The frame is clean with no paint chips. The needlepoint picture is also in wonderful condition - no fading, loose threads, or holes - the colors are bright and vibrant. The glass has no cracks or chips. The hanging bracket is secure and sturdy. There are some small tears in the picture's paper backing that do not affect the image or the integrity of the mounting. See photos for more details.
