Description: This vintage silverplate butter dish has an ornate lid, with dimensional fluting. The bottom is marked Eales (of Sheffield), Silverplate and 1779. It comes with the glass liner, which has a starburst design. The liner is 6-1/8" x 2-3/4" .This will hold 1/4 pound of butter. The dish measures appx. 7-1/2 inches long and is 4-1/4 inches at its widest. With the lid and decorative finial it is about 3 inches high. I polished this and washed it. It still has some patina on it. This is in good condition with some aging. Check photos for condition. Adds elegance to everyday!
