vintage SHEAFFER Skripsert cartridge fountain pen with 4-H logo c.1963

Description: Offered for your consideration is a SHEAFFER’S Skripsert cartridge fountain pen, made in the USA c.1963. This version of the Skripsert pen features an aluminum alloy cap with tasteful vertical striations over a green plastic barrel and SHEAFFER’S inset nib. It features the logo of 4-H, an agricultural youth-development organization. So, please have a look at the large photos I’ve taken and read the remaining description to decide if this SHEAFFER’S fountain pen should join your collection. This SHEAFFER’S pen is in clean, good condition. It measures just over 4¾” long with cap on, 5⅜” with cap posted atop, and about 7/16” at widest. There are dings, cracks, or chips, just some typical plastic dulling and light usage marks from the decades, as pictured. Plus, the clip rests tight against the cap and the barrel and cap join securely. Overall, this vintage SHEAFFER presents very nicely. What’s more, the silver metal inset nib is in good shape with no bend or tine split. It is not marked for size, but appears to be fine point. I gave the pen a repeated rinsing in cool water to free the nib, feed, and cap of dried residual ink. I did not fill it afterwards, but am including an old SHEAFFER’S Skrip cartridge for the new owner’s convenience should they choose to ink it right away. Plus, the original retail box is included, as pictured. Lastly, this Skripsert cartridge pen has good balance, ample mass, and should be a great writer!
