Description: Vintage Shakespeare Wonderod Spin Fishing Rod #1430-FFL 7’0” This is a two-piece vintage Shakespeare Wonderod spin fishing rod. Rod dates to November 1955 and carries the unique WOND-O-ROD logo. Rod is 7’0” in length and weighs 4.9 oz. Rod will handle 4-10 lb. monofilament lines. Rod has a 12 1/2” specie cork grip with a green aluminum sliding ring locking spinning reel seat. Green aluminum winding check. There are five standard stainless steel spinning guides and a Carboloy tip top. Green anodized aluminum Swiss style ferrules. Blade is Wonderod white with red nylon guide winds extended. Specie cork has been patched, cleaned, and reconditioned. Cork at the grip base has been sealed. Previous owner has styled a flat section to better accommodate reel seat feet. Rod is finished with a premium grade of glass rod varnish. Comes with original blue cloth Shakespeare rod bag and aluminum storage tube with rubber end caps. All will ship well protected and insured.
