Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE ***********The ETA 2784 automatic movement keeps accurate time over its approximate 43 hour power reserve. The date wheel rolls over as it should. As clearly seen in picture 14 a movement screw is missing. While the crown unscrews without issue and winds smoothly it can be temperamental when screwing it back down. Sometimes it screws down perfectly as it should and other times it takes multiple attempts. It's likely that its rubber gasket needs to be replaced. The crystal needs to be replaced. Given that the movement hasn't been serviced since the early 1980's a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended.*********** This vintage 1970's Scubapro 500, which came from the estate of its original owner, has a matte black "T SWISS MADE T" signed dial that is in pristine condition. The imperfections seen are on the crystal, not the dial. The lume on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and emits a quick burst glow after being exposed to bright light, has aged gracefully to a perfectly matching warm buttermilk hue. The fat font black bezel, which shows minor wear and ratchets counterclockwise, presents nicely with the golden butterscotch inverted triangle lume complementing the patina on the dial and hands beautifully. The massive all stainless steel case shows honest wear with insignificant signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "INCABLOC AUTOMATIC SWISS MADE 67155 SUPER-WATERRESISTANT STAINLESS STEEL" with "SCUBAPRO WORLDWIDE" stamped in the center and "4685" stamped along the inner edge. The inside of the case back is stamped "6141" followed by "SCUBAPRO SWISS." The crystal needs to be replaced. The 17 jewels Swiss "SCUBAPRO" stamped ETA 2784 automatic movement with quickset date function keeps accurate time and the date wheel rolls over at 12 am. As clearly seen in picture 14 a movement screw is missing. The quickset date function works flawlessly by unscrewing the screwdown crown, pulling it out to the first position and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement had an approximate 43 hour power reserve period. While the crown unscrews without issue and winds smoothly it can be temperamental when screwing it back down. Sometimes it screws down perfectly as it should and other times it takes multiple attempts. It's likely that its rubber gasket needs to be replaced. Given that the movement hasn't been serviced since the early 1980's a complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. This watch measures approximately 41 mm excluding the crown, approximately 44 mm including the crown and approximately 20 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 13.5 mm. The crystal adds no additional thickness. This watch comes on a seldom seen original "ISOFRANE DEPOSE" and "52013" stamped strap with flared buckle. It's fully pliable without any rips/cracks. The long end measures approximately 134 mm with the short end, excluding the buckle, measuring approximately 78 mm. A complete overhaul is long overdue and recommended. Vintage means old and while my personal belief is that old-school means better quality and workmanship, things can and do go wrong from time to time. Any servicing costs going forward are your responsibility. Please thoroughly read this entire listing and kindly ask any and all questions you may have prior to buying as this sale is final and no refunds of any kind will be given. And please study the 24 high magnification pictures carefully as they are part of the description and serve as an accurate representation of the condition of this watch. Expedited and insured shipping along with signature confirmation will be provided.
