Old Schwinn Seats have 5/8" Clamps and most everything today has 7/8" Clamps. The Seat Post is the Vintage Schwinn Size that is 13/16" or 20.7mm in Diameter, over all length is close to 14", with a 7/8" diameter top, that is about 2" of the overall length. This Seat Post is kind of a layed back version of the Long Stingray Seat Post with a Larger top for new seats. Seat post has a support, We import these seatposts and love the fact we carry a Vintage Schwinn size layed backseat posts, Unfortunatly I do not know the importance of the support design. seems odd to me. The Seatpost works Great for Lowrider Stingray Applications, and all other Vintage Schwinn Cruiser Applications, Especially when you would like a layed back and more length and that the common 9" vintage Schwinn seat post.
