Description: This beautiful vintage angel is made by Schmid Bros. in Japan. She carries a lyre or harp in her left arm and features a candle holder on her back. The piece measures about 7.5" tall and is about 4" across the base. She bears her original foil silver and blue-tone 'Schmid Bros. Japan' sticker on the bottom, and has the word 'Japan' marked in red on the bottom, too. I believe that she was made in the 1950's. The angel is done in white bisque porcelain and has gold-tone stars or snowflakes scattered across her gown. Her wings and her instrument are also tinged with gold. She has a very slight pink tone to her lips. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips, no cracks and no damage - AND she has all her fingers! There is a bit of wax debris on the candle holder portion of this piece, but it is minimal and could probably use a quick clean-up. She'd make a lovely addition to your holiday decor or your nativity scene!
