Description: A beautiful, functional and decorative vintage lidded apothecary jar, produced in the 1960-70's based on the 19th century originals. Apothecary jars were used to store and preserve crude and compounded drugs, in both dry and liquid forms. The Sinicula plant was used for treating chronic pain in the abdomen area. This ceramic Sanicula pharmacy jar is cream colored with metallic gold stripe accents. The word "Sanicula" is front and center showing what the jar had contained. A yellow, curly border surrounds a graphic of the green Sanicula plant. Measures approximately 5" in diameter and 11.5" tall with lid.
