Vintage Salsa dirt Bike Cycle Cross Cx Gravel Bike 700c Steel Petaluma Project

Description: Vintage rare Petaluma USA made salsa cx “dirt bike” scaboni cyclocross bicycle project . The frame is an xxl and is for a tall rider who’s 6’4 and taller . Possibly could fit 6’3 but I cant guarantee 24.75 seat tube length and 24 top tube length. I originally bought this for my brother who is pretty tall. It had frame issues when I bought it from the original owner but had it repaired by a frame builder . After I sand blasted it I noticed a braze repair on the drive side of the lower seat post, was under original paint so not sure what deal was but being transparent. The other issue is that when I was powder coating it the gun was having issues and it doesn’t look perfect and has light spots throughout the frame . Everyone who sees it thinks it’s perfect but if you look closely, there are numerous areas where it’s not perfect. I don’t want to have it paint stripped again so I threw in the towel . The plan for the bike was to mix vintage mountain bike parts with road wheels and have a beast of a cx bike. For the included parts are a shorty rare Shimano xtr seat post , wtb seat , original salsa fork, king no logo silver headset , salsa stem . Wilderness trail bikes wtb dirt drop handlebars. Now Dkg shift ease adapters for Shimano xtr m900 shifters . Vintage road brake levers . Shimano xtr m900 front derailer , xtr m900 rear derailer which I’m just throwing in. It Needs repair / part replaced on the mounting piece broke off but with a cheap doner derailer can get the part easy. Nos mavic open pro rims . White industries Novato / Petaluma made billet hubs . Salsa USA no logo black skewers , Petaluma made white industries billet cranks with Novato made white industries bottom bracket , it may be the wrong axle length at 114. But the axle is easily replaceable. I think I have a set of wtb first generation canti brakes that I possibly can include if I find them . I’m probably forgetting about something. This is a pretty rare bike and in 10 plus years I haven’t seen one come up forsale.
