Description: Beautiful German Shepard laying at rest. He measures 6-3/4" in length and 4-1/4" in height. He has a very fine hairline crack between his ears. These sculptures are very delicate are are often times damaged due to the way they were made. They are ceramic over metal and wire frames. As stated to find these sculptures in even this fine a condition is great as they are very fragile. He is stamped on the bottom. Mortens Studios was started by Oscar Mortens in 1931 after he immigrated from Sweden. Mortens Studios made mostly dog and horse sculptures from 1931-1950.
