Description: I am offering for sale this Vintage Rosewood & Brass Mortise Marking Gauge Scribe Inv#AB87 This is a fine user carpenters rosewood & brass mortise marking gauge wood scribe. Overall measurements are approx 8-" L x -5/8" W. The turn screws are brass & still in good mechanical condition. There is the name "W. J. Comstock" on brass bar and each side of the rosewood head. The bar a has two scribe points. It is in "as found" condition, and it would clean up beautifully. It has some scars, but still has a great feel and patina. There are NO numerals. It weighs 8 oz.
