ABOUT THE COMPANY: The Romweber family opened their furniture business in 1879 in Batesville, Indiana. It was R. J. Romweber, grandson of the founders, who took a trip to Norway, fell in love with Nordic design and, upon his US return in 1935, created the Viking Oak Collection.
