The knob you receive may have some fading and certainly no considerable damage. Every once in a while, I'll sell one that MIGHT have a SUPER TINY SMALL nick on the edge, but that's a rare occasion, honestly. I ship out my best-looking ones first, so if my inventory looks low, you may end up with a faded one that has a little more ware. Remember, pictures are sample pictures only, but the one you receive will look JUST like the ones shown - I guarantee it. These will fit BOTH older and newer Revere Ware lids - the threads are the same size and depth. To keep these looking nice over time, do NOT wash your lids in the dishwasher (or at least remember to take the knobs off first) and rub them down with a nice quality mineral oil every once in a while.
