Description: Vintage Radiometer Copenhagen Ph Meter 26. I believe this was made in Denmark in 1971. My Father used this for various personal projects and experiments. I sure wish I'd been able to be involved. Since I was not, I don't know anything about this unit. When plugged in the light comes on. When I monkey with the knobs and dials the needle on the meter moves. See photos.I suppose that if you need one you know what it's for, but in case you found this by surfing here's some info...Normal pH should stay within very narrow limits (7.35-7.45). Even a small deviation can have numerous detrimental effects on cellular metabolism that translates to tissue and organ dysfunction. PH lower than 6.8 or higher than 7.8 is usually incompatible with life. Sounds like you'd better buy this NOW! (I have a spare)I could not find out anything about the rod attached to the side but I'm sure it figured in to my Father's work. I think the little gray plastic thing goes with this too. (gift with purchase) Over all this unit seems to be in good condition, though the cord has some cracking. I didn't get shocked when I plugged it in.Asset No: A036306. External rod and its bracket will be removed for shipping.
