Description: Vintage Watch Street (100% positive feedback) Original genuine SUPER RARE, and even more rare in this condition, Vintage 1970s Shang Hai 114 Automatic Diver SS4 Chinese Military Watch. This timepiece has been PROFESSIONALLY SERVICED w/ clear photo proof in the photo set, showing the exact case with the exact serial number next to all of its internal components fully disassembled. The service was carried out by an expert with proper tools, experience, in a dust proof room, with Swiss oils and multiple checks. This example is a bit more expensive due to the full professional service. I invested a considerable amount of money into this specimen for peace of mind for both the buyer and seller for not only the present, but for years to come. Only 30,000 of these 114's were ever made, and most were destroyed in the 1980s by order of the Chinese government. I show the timegraph report transparently. The amplitude, beat error and line graph readings all reflect a professional service having been performed. Showing the timegraph reports is only possible when a professional service has been completed. Dial is all original, never repainted. Has some marks and blemishes. Hands may have been relumed and/or replaced from another original SS4. Watch is running well and keeping time within 6 seconds per day on a flat test over 24 hours, but all vintage watches are sold as +/- 1 minute/day as timekeeping can vary after shipping, depending on climate and usage. Caliber: original, 24 Jewels (correct to the model) ss4. Dial matches the machine in jewel count. Stamped deeply and cleanly. Excellent condition! Driving system: original, automatic winding and can be hand wound. SS4 marked on the main plate, very visible in the photos. Also marked SS4 with the clean deep F that was more rare and often stamped lightly, but this example is stamped clean! Dial: original, not repainted. Hands: original, correct to the model, shows aging. Crystal: Original, has almost no scratches, may have been polished. Looks absolutely amazing compared to others on the market. Has original cyclops. Bezel: Original, still rotating with video proof. I would personally avoid rotating it unnecessarily. Crown: original, correct, signed, still winds & screws down with video proof. Case: Steel, looks unpolished, sharp case edges, not rounded out, only few fine scratches / scuffs. In remarkably nice condition compared to others that exist. Machine is in extremely good condition for its age. I mean very beautiful condition. Someone took very good care of this piece over the years and it appears to have been kept dry. Quick set: Please follow the operating instructions carefully. Step 1) unscrew the crown until it naturally pops out, this is the zero position and you can wind the watch here 2) gently pinch the crown out further to one position more, this is called the 1st position, and here you can rotate the crown to adjust the time and 3) to adjust the date, turn the time to midnight and when the date flips, turn it back to 8pm and then return to midnight and the date will flip again. Repeat until reaching the desired date, and lastly 4) push the crown back in (takes a little bit of pressure) and screw the crown closed and that’s it! Please view the video closely to understand better! Date quickset is working properly with video proof clearly displayed. Please operate carefully and message me directly before operating if you have any questions or doubts. Avoid using the hand winding function to charge the watch as it is an automatic and it is self winding and creates less stress on the watch than manually turning the crown. Also, it is unnecessary to hand wind an automatic watch. This watch was designed to be water resistant & shock resistant.
