Description: Vintage PRIMITIVE Hand Made AMERICANA CHRISTMAS ANGEL 18" Pine Cone Quilt Doll Click images to enlarge Description VINTAGE CHRISTMAS ANGEL DOLL DECORATION Wonderful hand made primitive OOAK vintage Christmas angel doll measuring about 18" tall. Featuring elongated pine cone "wings" tied to her back, angel wears a cloth wrapped halo mounted on her head, a large primitive star with button decoration on her chest, and a wonderful coat and long skirt made from an antique thick padded quilt in red, and other warm country colors - skirt is also accented with a matching star decoration. Carrying a small bag filled with cinnamon stick, berries and greenery, her body is batting stuffed as are her legs, arms and head - features are hand stitched with button eyes and lots of personality - love the tuft of raffia hair on her head. Condition is very nice with no major damage - primitive design with tea staining to mimic age just adds to the charm - wear to the pine cone wing tips giving them a shabby primitive look. I've always had her hanging from an antique painted barn door in my family room - she is large enough to replace a holiday wreath or similar door decoration, but can also be seated for display.
