Description: Home made nutcracker with a design borrowed from the famous C. E. Potter of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. The last picture has a Potter cracker in the foreground, yeah, it's big. The anvil is made of 3/4" bolt and nuts giving this an adjustable travel; various size of nuts or where you want the lever position when the just right shell crack is achieved. Weighs 18 1/2#, Potter weighs 7, screwing it down isn't necessary. Effective leverage is 50:1 gives the user control over power to get the shell sufficiently cracked without crushing the meat. I've used this on Filberts, Pecans, Brazil nuts and walnuts, it's awesome!
