Description: Vintage Pair Of Japanese Bisque Kewpie Squeaker Dolls With Sleep Eyes c1930s Click image to enlarge Description Offered for your consideration is a pair of Japanese bisque squeaker dolls with sleep eyes. From, I would guess the 1930-40s, the pair consists of one boy and one girl doll. Each of the dolls have bellies that squeak when squeezed. They also have sleep eyes, meaning that the eyes close when the dolls are laid down and reopen when upright. Dressed in native attire, the dolls are in very good to excellent 'as found' condition. The squeaks work when depressed and eyes function properly. Both of the dolls have stickers on the lower back identifying their origin. There are no breaks, cracks or repairs to either doll. They do show handling and there is some fading to the clothing, which is most noticeable on the pair of blue pants on the girl doll. There is also some 'spotting' on the one hand of the girl doll.
