Vintage Otagiri Somayaki Double Walled Creamer Soma Ware Japan 50's Golden Horse

Description: Vintage Pre-owned Otagiri Somayaki Japanese creamer Soma Ware. Creamer is hand crafted and painted in the traditional Somayaki crackle finish with green and brown tones and beautifully decorated with gold hand painted horse and hearts. The creamer is double walled and is decorated with hearts carved into the outer wall of the creamer. The creamer measures roughly 3 1/2 inches high and 3 inches wide. Creamer is in good condition but it does have a defect in the form of a small break on the top of the creamer on the outer part of the rim, the break is about 1/2 inch long, I tried to capture the defect to the best of my ability to set realistic expectations regarding the condition of the creamer. The cracle in the paint is intentional and very much the signature finish of the producers. Despite the imperfection the creamer is not only functional but very much beautifully well kept to display as a collection piece.
