Description: Vintage Acanthus Leaf & Scroll Design Black Metal Tri-Fold Fireplace Screen Item is pre-owned and in very good used condition. No loose pieces or loose hinges. Works perfectly and stands sturdy when side pieces are set at the angle. There's a couple of small areas (size of pencil top) of light rust on the front, can barely see it, but wanted to point it out. (see photos) This gorgeous, vintage ornamental fireplace screen stands 38" tall at the center. The center piece is 21" wide. Side pieces are 26" tall on the outside edge and are 12" across. When fully extended, this fireplace screen is 45" wide, and a significant weight at about 27 lbs. Thickness is just bit over 1/4" It's made of metal, however not sure if it's wrought iron. The finish is a black matte type. The front has two horizontal rows of what appear to be maple leaves, one row, in the center, of what looks like "barrels" and the top and bottom are rows of metal balls.The very top and bottom of this screen have acanthus style leaves and scrolls to soften the metal surface and the black color. It all works perfectly as this screen would look perfect in a variety of decor scenarios. Really an amazing piece. This fireplace screen is more for looks than function as there is no screen attached to the back of this. It's more for ornamental use and will not stop sparks from getting through.
