As manufactured, there are 4 holes in each sign so they are ready to hang on your wall. The text on the bottom reads "DOD FS NO. 2 (NOT TO BE REPRODUCED OR USED WITHOUT DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE PERMISSION)". The sign is reflective which can be seen in the image in the listing with flash on. The edges of the metal sign are very, very sharp so please handle with care. *The original box stating "SIGNS PRODUCED AFTER JULY 5, 1962" is not included in the purchase and is displayed in the listing only for authentication purposes. This listing includes one Fallout Shelter sign, and occasionally the original tissue paper slip that was used to protect it. Shipped in a cardboard box to protect the sign from being bent or scratched. The corners will be taped to minimize risk of injury during handling.
