Description: This vintage Olympia De Luxe typewriter is the SM7 model. It is cream and brown steel with green platen knobs and shift keys. It is the original color -- not repainted. It is portable and comes with the cream and green hard carrying case.It was made by Olympia Werke AG Wilhelmshaven in Western Germany and distributed by the Inter-Continental Trading Corp. in New York City in 1961. The serial number is # 1845627.This manual typewriter is a beautiful example of German workmanship and quality during the midcentury.Write your bestseller. Or give it as a graduation gift or to the person who collects vintage office machines.This Olympia typewriter with case is in excellent vintage condition. I replaced the ribbon with a new one. Though I don't know how to use all the features, it appears to be working. However, there are no warranties past my policy rules (14 days--please read them) as this is a vintage machine. No sticky keys. It likely could use a professional cleaning/oiling.The carrying case is in great vintage condition. There is a little vinyl separation and a scuff on one side. No key. Please use your zoom for a good look.Please note that there is no "1" key. This was common with these older models.
