Description: Vintage Ohio Brass Brown Porcelain Cable Insulator is threaded. Trademark recessed embossed B is on the collar. Ohio Brass opened a factory in Barberton, Ohio to make the porcelain insulators in 1910 until 1980's. The porcelain insulator was the standard for power distribution due to its greater strength and surface resistance. It was highly glazed to prevent weathering. This insulator is 3 7/8" tall,3 3/4" wide at base, 1 1/2" wide at the top valley. Lighting conditions have affected the appearance and color. See pictures for details.
