The design features a bright orange flower surrounded by lilac colored flowers. There is gold trim on the cup, handle, foot, and saucer. See photos for close ups. FROM THE NORITAKE WEBSITE: How old is an item marked made in Japan?Between 1921 and 1941, pieces destined for the US export market were required to be marked 'Japan' or 'Made in Japan'.
