Description: Vintage Navajo ladies' silver and turquoise concho link belt. It is made up of 18 silver oval conchos decorated with traditional Native American stamp work, each with a small central turquoise stone. Although bearing no marks, it is silver and was tested. Native American silversmiths were not mandated to stamp their work sterling back in the early days, but of course it became a good selling point later as they were trading outside their reservation. It dates to the 1950's.It measures 36 in. in length. Each concho measures 1.5 in. x 1 in. The belt can also be worn as a necklace. In excellent condition.
