Description: Vintage 1941 - 1946 MONOPOLY w/ Board & Wooden Tokens! WW II Era – Complete! This is a complete WWII era Monopoly game with the original wooden tokens! (During WWII, wooden game tokens were used to save metal for war efforts.) The houses and hotels are wooden as well. The set includes: Monopoly board Monopoly box (top, bottom and insert trays) Monopoly rules (both regular and short game) 28 property cards 16 Community Chest cards 16 Chance cards 8 wooden tokens 2 dice 32 green wooden houses 12 red wooden hotels 235 pieces of Monopoly Money Monopoly Money denominations breakdown 34 ones 38 fives 52 tens 33 twenties 15 fifties 55 hundreds 8 five hundreds I don’t know how many bills originally came with this game, so there may be some missing. The bills are physically smaller than in the more modern game. They measure 3 ¾ X 1 ½ inches. Also, the instructions differ slightly- The bank gives each player the traditional $1500 to start but breaks the denominations down differently than the more modern game. Additional Seller Notes: There is a small scribble of numbers on the Short Game Instructions. Otherwise, there are no ink marks. There’s old scotch tape on the instructions. There’s plenty of wear and tear and fading but no major rips, tears, folds, etc. All in all, it’s in great shape for a game that’s almost 80 years old!!
