Description: This is a 2 piece set, carafe with lid, vintage piece of Monmouth Pottery. It is brown MOJAVE speckled with carmel glaze and has molded ribs running vertically up the base and neck and the rest of this piece is smooth. Monmouth Pottery was well known for their variety of salt-glazed utilitarian wares excellent in quality and durability. It has the original mark of the Monmouth Company, the maple leaf, along with USA, on the bottom. It measures approximately 11 1/4" tall x 6" wide. Holds 6 cups. There are no chips or cracks, a manufacturer flaw on the bottom. There is a spot that looks like a manufacturer flaw, thin glaze, toward the top of the carafe as shown in photo #2.This is in excellent used condition!
