Description: Vintage Mitchell Spinning Reel Pre Garcia, Pre 300, 4th Version, w/Box Very nice vintage 1950's condition the body paint is still nice with usage nicks, rotating head shows a couple corrosion spots under the paint, bail has one spot were the chrome is missing pic's 8, 9. The reel was completely disassembled, I cleaned all the old stiff petroleum grease out of the body plus bushing and gears. Still has all the original birth parts only thing I added was a Mitchell shim to adjust rotating head to baffle plate and a fiber washer for the spool drag, it was missing. The grease was replace with a Multi-Purpose Synthetic Grease that I use on all my reel rebuilds. The only thing I did not take apart was the clicker on the spool. Box is in fair to good condition for being over 65 years old, sides are not split the gold graphics are barley visible, bottom reel holder has stains, do not have period correct spool and case.
