Description: One (1) vintage Melanesian or Micronesian hand carved wooden figure of a man with a snake wrapped around his body. Inlaid bone eyes and teeth. Snake's eyes are brass nails. 1960's - 1970's. Fair condition- minor wear, Chip on nose of the snake (see picture #11). Large cracks running along one side (see pictures #10 and #12). Piece of wood missing on side of foot (see picture #11). Measures 14 inches tall and 5 inches at widest point. Base measures 5 5/8 inches by 2 3/8 inches.
