Description: Here's an absolutely amazing and highly unusual subject for a Tablecloth.Thanks to a wonderful Collector and E-bayer I now know that this is a Vintage Marlene Linens a Manufacturer of Mid Century Linens.I am guessing that examples from Marlene are at least as scarce as Items from Prints Charming,some may even be rare. This Pattern is called "Calico". The Design seems to be one for Christmas, though not strictly for that most wonderful time of the year. The center is a medium green modified rectangle with a scalloped edge. Other Objects appears to be Hex and Good Luck Symbols prevalent in the Pennsylvania Dutch Community. However they might just as easily be Decorations to hang on the Christmas tree. Though reds and greens are prevalent,there is plenty of yellow and of course this Treatment is set against a Pure White Back Drop of a sturdy Cotton Sailcloth.Measurements are a large Tablecloth size of approximately 49''w by 62''l. I found one or two small spots and took a picture of them. I suspect this Beauty was used only rarely as She is in nearly Mint Condition.
