Description: This set of vintage pillowcases is simply incredible!! There are 8 standard pillow cases included: 4 feature the mum-like flower, 4 feature the rose. These 100% cotton, hand-embroidered pieces are in wonderful vintage condition - no holes, no tears, no fraying. There are small stains on the pieces, but that's to be expected with pillowcases of this age: please see pictures. Only one of the cases has a stain that is bigger than about 2" (again, see pictures). The color is a mint or seafoam green and the embroidery is white: it features trapunto work, faggoting, scalloped edges and mesh-like inserts. Just gorgeous! You can tell these pillowcases were well-cared for. They were part of my sister-in-law's estate, and I'm sure they came from her mom - but I don't know who made them or where they were acquired. Estimated to be from the 30's - the cotton is very crisp! I have not washed them or tried to remove any of the stains as I'm afraid to damage them. They'd make a beautiful presentation in a guest bedroom - or your own!Thanks for your consideration!
