Description: This beautiful and rare vintage BARSE 925 sterling silver cross pendant and matching necklace features a bold and chunky design with turquoise stones and sterling silver balls and beads. This piece was made in the USA before the company began manufacturing in Thailand and in China.The cross pendant is an ornate square shape (equal arms) that is suspended from an ornate barrel bail and features a turquoise cabochon in the center as well as intricate rope designs at the edges. The pendant and bail together measure a little over 2 1/4" long, and the cross itself is 1 1/2" long and wide. The pendant is not removable from the necklace. Please study the photos taken next to a ruler and between a dime and a quarter coin to better understand the size of this piece.The matching necklace features round turquoise balls interspaced with sterling silver balls and ornate rope design accent pieces. The necklace closes with a toggle clasp accented by rope design edging. The necklace is 18" long.Both the pendant and necklace feature oxidation (darkening) of the sterling silver design. This is an intentional design feature but the necklace could benefit from a light polishing to bring out the luster of the bright silver surfaces, such as the round silver balls.The pendant is stamped "C" (copyright), "Barse" and "925" and the pendant and necklace together weigh a substantial 67.8 grams.This pendant is preowned so it shows some wear but overall it is in very good condition.NOTE!
