This ashtray has the Goudchaux's name imprinted on the back of ashtray, so it was made for the Goudchaux's Department Store before it became the Maison Blanche. Size 7 3/4-inch W x 6 1/4-inch L x 1 inch H This is from the Goudchaux's store in Baton Rouge. The store was founded in 1907 by the Goudchaux's brothers. Ownership passed to the Sternberg family. The store name was changed to Maison Blanche in 1988.
