Description: For auction is a lot of vintage Japanese lacquerware and Chinese enamel on brass pieces. Provenance: I acquired these items from family friends who are liquidating the wife’s family items. Her father served in the Military police in Occupied Japan, Korea, and trained police in China. When the family moved back to the States they brought many tiny treasures such as I am offering in this listing. These items have all been stored for decades. Items included are:A Chinese enamel tobacco jar with two pipe rests. The jar is 3” tall and 3 3/8” diameter.A black with gold Japanese lacquerware ROYAL MARUNI decorated jar. This jar is 3” tall and 2 3/4” diameter. A oxblood colored Japanese lacquerware MARUNI decorated jar. This jar is 3 1/2” tall and 3” in diameter. A red colored Japanese lackerware MARUNI storage jar with 8 drink coasters. This jar is 3 1/4” tall and 3 1/2” in diameter. NOTE: Please note that the word lacquerware is spelled incorrectly on these pieces. Not sure what that means. Probably avid collectors of MARUNI pieces know. A red colored Japanese lacquerware storage jar with 6 drink coasters. This jar is 2 1/2” tall and 3 7/8” diameter. This last set has no markings on the bottom.
