Description: This is a very nice vintage lot of three needlepoint Christmas stockings. They were made by hand and there is a label on the back, reflecting this. It looks like they were entered in a contest. The stockings measure between 18 and 20 inches in length and 5 1/2 to 7 inches in the middle and 7 to 8 1/2 inches at the top. They do look good as a trio. The green stocking has a red cloth back and shows candy canes and a popcorn chain. The white stocking has a cream colored back and Santa in front of a tree with his sack of toys. The blue stocking has two angels and a blue cloth back. They all have white plastic loops for hanging. There is no real damage however, there are some spots with the threads have worn and you can see the mesh underneath. Given that these are 40 years old, it’s not too much wear and you don’t notice it when they’re hanging unless you look for it. Please see the photos as part of the description and condition.
