Vintage Lot 3 PAN AM Flight Maps Jet Clipper NY Caribbean Mexico Central America

Description: This vintage set of Pan American Airways route maps is a must-have for aviation and travel enthusiasts alike. 1967 Pan Am JET CLIPPER ROUTE MAPS is a 29 page booklet featuring a collection of maps highlighting the airline's destinations to all 6 continents in beautiful color. The preface is in multiple languages.It measures 12 x 9 inches and is stapled down the center of the pages.The front and back cover have some wear like dings and a couple creases. The first page has a partial crease. All the other pages have very slight bends and/or wear on the upper edge, I only mention to be totally accurate. No tears, soiling or markings. The pages are quite suitable for framing in my opinion. 2 Maps for NY & Caribbean Plus Mexico & Central AmericaThese two maps show the destinations of Pan Am Airways back in the 50's- 60's. The graphics are pretty cool because not only is there a Pan American Clipper featured, but there are vignettes here and there that note historically significant events for many countries, states and cities. I believe the plane is a DC-7, which was the last piston engine propeller plane that Douglas built.The New York & Caribbean is 25 inches tall x 15 1/2 inches wide when unfolded.The Mexico & Central America is 25 inches tall x 18 wide when unfolded.No marks or writing but there is wrinkling and fold creases on both maps. There is also a good deal of wear along some creases, mostly those that face the top when folded. This wear includes holes as shown in the photos. The corners are very nice on the NY map but most are damaged on the Mexico map. I think they are still collectible for the airline enthusiast or cartophile.
