Description: Vintage Looping 8 Eight Day Alarm Clock Swiss Brass Made Switzerland Numbered Up for bid and for your consideration is this excellent vintage Looping eight-day alarm clock. Made in Switzerland and serial numbered! This clock would make a great addition to your high-end alarm clock collection or just as a great accessory to an executive desk! Here are the details: The clock measures about 3-1/4 inches tall, 3-7/8 inches wide at the base and about 1-5/8 inches deep. The dial is a matte silver color, and the numbers are represented by slightly raised gold colored Arabic numbers in the 12, 3, 6, and 9 positions and log dashes in 5-minute increments. There is an outer ring of thin dashes representing each minute with a square of luminous material at the 5-minute increments. It has gold-colored hands, also highlighted with luminescent material. The luminous material still glows! It is marked "Looping" under the 12 position, "Alarm, 8 Days" over the 6 position. It is also marked "Switzerland" near the bottom of the face under the six. All winders and knobs are present, including a fast/slow adjustment and an on/off slider for the alarm. All are marked accordingly The clock does not run, if you rock it back and forth it will tick for a few seconds, sometimes minutes, but then stops. It is wound tight. Alarm works, when you turn the time to the set time, it rings. Please understand that this clock is being sold "As Is" with no warranty or guarantees. Any clocks I sell are vintage and likely needs to, at least, have the movement cleaned and /or oiled. In the case of non-working clocks, such as this, I do not know if the movement is complete, but due to the fact that it is wound tight and ticks for a bit, makes me think it is complete. I also have no way to know how the clock is handled upon arrival. For these reasons, I do not accept returns. Other markings on the back of the clock include the numbers 294211. I don't know what these numbers represent, but I believe it's a serial number. This is a heavy clock for its size, mounted in a round brass case, with circular accents sitting on a slightly angled rectangular base, made to sit on a desk. The brass could use a good polishing and would shine beautifully. The back of the case is gold painted metal and is in o.k. condition with lots of wear from winding. This clock would make a great addition to your high-end alarm clock collection or just as a great accessory to an executive desk! Maybe you know someone who would enjoy this as a gift?
