Description: Vintage Levin No. 23 goat hoof horn clipper limb cigar cutters Pat. June 7, 1892. Patented as a "pruning implement" by W.Levin, this was used by an unlimited number of different people in the farming industry and even as a cigar tip cutter. The patent number was close to 476.7??. This was patented on the same day that Thomas Edison patented the incandescent electric lamp light along with the ore screening apparatus. The cutting blade has chips and wear. There is some light corrosion but not as bad as a few others that I have seen that sold in the past. It measures 7" long. It is made of steel and iron metal.
