Description: For sale is a nice, vintage Riddell WD 1 football helmet. This helmet shell is a size medium. It has the size indicator sticker on the back of the helmet that reads 7 1/8. To my knowledge the pads in this shell are original to the helmet. The helmet shell is an impregnated black, and it has never been painted. The padding is complete and in excellent condition. It is all adult padding (it has the white backing that snaps into the helmet, gray backing is for youth shells.)The stamping inside the right ear is O 8. Not sure where they are going with a O, but the 8 means it was made in 1988. There are no jaw pads or chinstrap in this auction.There is some minor gouging on the front of the shell, but in all, this is an outstanding helmet! Look at the pictures.
