Description: Original Gunne Sax gown with long, sheer lace sleeves, pearl button details, ribboned umpire-waist bodice with lace details in aqua blue. Near perfect condition! This dress was only worn once, to my Freshman Prom in 1980 when I was 14. (I tried to find the photo, but alas, it’s buried in the basement somewhere.) The dress has been in my possession, in storage since 1980. Did my 58 year-old self try it on? Yup! Did it fit? Nope! (Actually, it fit ok except the chest) Yay me. LOL The label says it’s sized 11, which translates to about a size 4. The dress skims the floor on my 5’ 10” frame (I can remember my mom driving all over town to find dressy flats so I wouldn’t be taller than my date). The dress is nearly flawless. There are no stains, tears or fading. There is one button loop on the right sleeve that needs to be repaired by someone more gifted with a needle than I. It’s been recently hand-washed and just needs a steam before wearing. I look forward to someone else enjoying this beautiful piece of my past…and making their own memories! Enjoy!
