Description: Here are various pieces of the vintage Larkspur pattern of the Franciscan Pottery dinnerware line produced by Gladding, McBean & Co. in Southern California from 1958 to 1962. They are in remarkably great shape ranging from a single chip on one piece to the rest in outstanding condition. Surprisingly, there are no signs of use or wear. Details for each follows. The mid-century Larkspur line has a pretty underglaze pattern of pink and blue flowers with brown leaves on shiny cream-color background. Light brown trim edges the rims. This listing is for pieces remaining and includes: 1 Teapot with Lid - 5 1/2” tall, 5-cup capacity / No cracks, crazing or scratches – but there is a chip on the spout that's easy to miss since the cream glaze and pottery under it are nearly the same color. See last photo. This is the only flaw, price reduced accordingly. It does not interfere with smooth and straight pouring ability. 1 Creamer – 3 ¼” tall, 10-ounce capacity / No chips, cracks, crazing or scratches – excellent condition 1 Syrup or Sauce Server with Attached Underplate – 4 ¾” tall, 16-ounce capacity / No chips, cracks, crazing or scratches – excellent condition 4 Bread & Butter Plates – 6 3/8” diameter / No chips, crazing or utensil marks, but one has an internal hairline crack (see front and back photos) – The other three are in excellent condition The backstamp style varies a bit. All have a version of “Gladding, McBean & Co., Franciscan Earthenware, Made in USA”. The milk pitcher also has“Made in California, Color-Seal, Oven Safe”. Thanks for looking.
