Description: Vintage Large Turquoise Matrix Stone Pendant Southwestern Light Blue GreenThis vintage turquoise matrix pendant has such an awesome Southwestern look! The beautiful stone has natural imperfections and very interesting coloring. The stone is thick and solid and the artisan has made good use of the irregular, elevated surface of the stone on the front. The front is a lighter turquoise color, almost a light green while the flat back is more blue. The lighter green front is likely from exposure to the sun from the pendant being worn frequently. Actually, it looks nice worn with either side showing, according to which color you want. As shown in the pictures, the front has an irregular, elevated shape while the back of the pendant is flat. The handmade mounting is a silvery-colored metal with some base metal peeking through just a small bit. The mounting was made to fit around the stone and there are a couple of areas where the stone dips in and the metal isn't touching but it feels secure in the mounting. * Please note the ring where the bail attaches appears a little crooked but this handmade piece was just made this way and the pendant hangs fine. Light surface scratches overall with some irregularities in the stone. It is unknown if the stone has been treated in any way. The pendant measures about 1-3/4 inch side to side and hangs about 2 inches long plus the bail. Weight is 29.4 grams. The metal is unmarked for content or maker.
