Description: Vintage Large Hand-Crafted Teak Burl Wood Root Ball Bowl w/ Epoxy Filler 20"x5" True Mid-Century Modern piece. Very large and very heavy! I have no expertise in this area and am only guessing at the wood type. I would guess this is either teak or persimmon. It is very heavy. A epoxy resin filler helps keep the integrity of the wood edges. This piece was rediscovered at an older affluent estate. It seems to be a little older than others I've seen online. Exhibits wear consistent with age and use. In good/very good condition. Measures approximately 20" across at its widest, and about 5" tall. Weighs over 18 lbs! See photos.
