I used this book for some of the historic data provided. It is a great reference for information on these bayonets. This listing does not include the book or any of the pages. M7 Knife/Bayonet made by the original USA Manufacturer: Imperial Knife Co.,Providence, Rhode Island, USA. Rock Island records show that their bayonets were produced from 1973 to 1985. This one was delivered between 1973 and 1976. This is known because you can see the near 90 degree runout of the true edge. This M7 is in excellent condition M8A1 scabbard: This scabbard was produced in mid - 1969 by VIZ Manufacturing company located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This was a small contract of only 50K scabbards. By contrast, the main contractor, TWB , made about 4,000,000 scabbards This scabbard is in good condition. There is a small crack just above the metal tip. Unless it is subjected to hard and jarring use it is only mildly noticeable and will be fine into the future. So small its hard to see in the pictures. Could be glued or epoxied together if desired. Genuine USA military surplus, scratches, smudges, military markings, patina nics, see photos. No visible cracks on handle, no visible cracks on scabbard. I have a bunch of these that will be listed when I get the time. If you are looking for something specific, feel free to inquire.
